As we are going to the academic year 2012-2013, we look back with satisfaction and look forward with confidence to reach newer heights. The past years had been of the rich experiences, further learning and challenges which call upon us for more changes and adaptation to the times and situations.
As far as the students are concerned, we see constant changes in their way of growing, mode of learning and style of interacting etc. We need to understand all these in the background of today’s scenario where the young minds and hearts are forcibly drawn into undesirable deeds and behavior patterns.
The introduction of Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation in Primary and Secondary stage in all the Kendriya Vidyalayas has brought radical changes in the teaching and learning process. The CCE has also streamlined the process of Assessment and Evaluation made by the teachers. It is continuous as the process of evaluation covers the entire academic session and it is comprehensive since it includes the scholastic as well as the co-scholastic areas of the learning.
With inclusive education and RTE we have to address varied needs of the students. Overall today's education system is very holistic and we will have hetrogenous classrooms in future.
As parents and teachers, it is our sacred duty to seriously think of ways and means to channel the hidden talents of our young generation into constructive resources giving life and energy to build up our nation. Considerable growth in learning, maturity and positive thinking are taking place in our students.
We must remember "Success is a delicious dish. Patience , Intelligence, Talent and Ability are the key ingredients. But Hard work is that little salt which makes it Testier".
We cannot change the whole world but as individuals we can. If you want to change the world, you must change man first. In other words one can change the world only by changing oneself.
